Sweet Home 250 is Alabama’s official culminating celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, hosted at American Village, which is designated by Governor Kay Ivey as the state’s Semiquincentennial Celebration Capital and proudly supported through the America 250 Alabama initiative.

On July 3–4, 2026, the 188-acre campus of the American Village in Montevallo — featuring more than 20 historically inspired buildings and the newly completed replica of Independence Hall — will serve as the backdrop for a once-in-a-lifetime Independence Day celebration.
